Restore Aerodynamic Performance

Wind turbine blades accumulate insects, dust, salt deposits, and environmental contamination that disrupts airflow and reduces power generation. Even a thin layer of debris on the leading edge can significantly impact turbine efficiency and annual energy production.

Our Wind Turbine Blade Cleaning Foam is specifically formulated to tackle these tough deposits while being safe for blade coatings and composite materials. The high-foam formula clings to vertical surfaces, providing extended contact time for effective cleaning without excessive water usage.

Key Benefits

  • Removes insect remains, dirt, salt, and organic deposits
  • High-foam formula clings to blade surfaces
  • Safe for leading edge protection systems and coatings
  • Biodegradable and environmentally responsible
  • Reduces water consumption compared to traditional methods
  • Compatible with rope access and platform cleaning operations

How It Works

The foam cleaning system works by generating a thick, stable foam that adheres to the blade surface. Active ingredients penetrate and break down insect residue and organic matter while the foam prevents rapid runoff, maximizing cleaning efficiency. After a short dwell time, the foam is rinsed away along with all loosened contaminants.

Application Methods

  • Rope Access: Technicians apply foam while suspended, working section by section
  • Platform/Crane: Applied from elevated work platforms for larger turbines
  • Ground-Based: High-reach systems for accessible sections

Recommended For

  • Onshore wind farms in high-insect or dusty environments
  • Coastal and offshore turbines with salt accumulation
  • Scheduled maintenance cleaning programs
  • Pre-inspection blade preparation
